I got the partial reloads working nicely and I was able to interrupt the animation, but without being able to tell the game to load one shell into the weapon at a time you are stuck with either loading nothing until the animation is complete - or loading everything after the animation plays the first shell going in.Hopeully we'll get some functionality from F4SE at some point, since Bethesda didn't want to bother with it. Sadly it's still not possible to do the most useful part of internal magazine weapons - interrupting your reload to fire.I was playing around with this concept for my Winchester 1897 after seeing your demonstration of it.

How does the lever-action rifle reload in Fallout:New Vegas? The Fallout 3 vid I watched, the hunting rifle clearly has it's bolt on the right, and it didn't. Being able to stop reload every1-2 bullets would make the gun absurdly overpowered. The Legendary Lever action sold by one of the vendors in Far Harbour (Maybe Allen?) has about 200+ damage when upgraded and maxed with perks + any other modifiers you may have. Or like, idk, cancel reload? Depends if the intention is to make you dump the whole mag.
